Overview

Nettavisen was the first Norwegian online newspaper that was not established in relation to a pre-existing real-life newspaper. It started up on 1 November 1996. TV 2 bought the web site in 2003, and from then until 2006 it was called "TV 2 Nettavisen". On October 23, 2008 the board of TV 2 decided to initiate negotiations with TV 2's owners, Egmont and A-pressen, to buy Nettavisen from TV 2.
